About Shelby

Since being called to the bar in 2020, Shelby has exclusively practiced employment law and regularly represents clients in unjust dismissal, wrongful dismissal, and constructive dismissal claims. These cases have involved allegations of cause, concurrent disability claims, and pension valuation issues. Many files have also engaged issues of employee entitlement to bonus, requiring familiarity with principles of contractual interpretation in the employment law context. Additionally, she has experience with discrimination, harassment, and reprisal claims. She has litigated in the Ontario courts including the Divisional Court wherein she achieved a favourable judgment that has been widely cited.
